thought I had my first large cent today!...........well at least it is 1853

unfortunately it was NOT a large cent, it is a large copper from 1853, not sure much about it though. If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it!! It is my oldest coin found so far, so that makes me happy :clapping:

here are the rest of todays stuff, got some clad, a token, small religious pendant, tiny dog pendant, and a pic of my trash to show you I was digging a LOT of signals today...lol

Nice old coin and I like the dog charm! You have some great finds and of course ya gotta dig the trash to get it out of the way from nulling the good stuff! Congrats! :clapping:

Congrats on the new oldest coin! Yes it is French. Wow we both got a foreign large cent this week! :)
