I suppose I can post a link on here....Check out this amazing Christian artist. For me, his music is right on. 7Cents and babygirl gave me this guys cd for Mother's day and the WHOLE cd is really good. Love the lyrics...this guys music is very down to earth and REAL. Writes all his own stuff. Vocals and guitar skills aren't too shabby either

Congrats on the CD from hubby and little one...Glad you like the music, but I'm sorry I don't care for the newer music because of Ma being an old foggy! Each to his or her own! Lots of years between our generations! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks for sharing, Liz. Don't you just love to get hold of a Cd that you absolutely love? I am a real music lover and enjoy a lot of different types of music. I like SOME Contemporary Christian music, but my favorite is Southern Gospel and songs from the old hymn books. I also like Country Music, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, 70's music (from back in my day, lol), early 80's, Motown, and a lot more.

I like a lot of the old stuff too, Ma. A lot of the contemporary christian is too mainstream for me. Really bothers me when a Christian song can be easily played on a secular station. Know what I mean?

Yes Lisa, I do love to ge ahold of a good cd! Like you, I like ALL kinds of music with the exception of rap and heavy metal. I can listen to and like most genres, but mainly listen to old country, bluegrass and folk, and some contemporary Christian. I started out as a music major and music has always been a huge part of my life....it's safe to say I couldn't live without music!

Same here, Liz! Can't imagine life without my music! I had a music scholarship when I graduated high school. Chose not to use it due to pure stupidity. One of my biggest regrets.

Lisa-that is just wild...I chose not to use my scholarship either. I felt that becoming a music teacher would REALLY limit me and I have never wanted to move away from the area I grew up in. I would have had a very hard time finding a job...if at all. I also regret not pursuing a music degree, but I guess if I had things to do over, I wouldn't change anything.
