I'm in a big rut with my site selection. I am dividing almost all of my time between my new favorite clad site and my new favorite old coin site. Another new slant is I am no longer rising early to hunt and I have been heading out late afternoon until dusk most days. Problem is dusk is coming earlier and earlier. The cool stuff from today. 1953D dime. Four wheat cents, the oldest 1924. A very cool square coin from the Netherlands Antilles. Finally a silver ring that I am 99.99% sure was owned by a girl named Lydia. That big sinker was a long way from water too. Last but certainly not least 102 clad coins, of which there are seven 1965 quarters and a nice big pile of nickels. Short and sweet!

1965 quarters, dimes and halves are enough to make me cry. Nice big pile of loot though. I'm close to securing another mid 1800's farmhouse to detect, just waiting till the weather cools a bit. I hate detecting in the baking heat.

I'm guessing the square coin is copper. Congrats on the silvers.

nice finds as usual Chris  good to see your still popping those old silvers out :clapping: i 'm having a good run on old silver as well ( with my other detector in the water ).
i"m heading out tomorrow with my family & the ACEs to an old spot i"v been researching for years i finely pinpointed the location down two weeks ago  so hopefully my boy will pull his first silver out of the ground.

That square coin is about the composition of a US nickel, at least thats where it hit. Can't wait to see what you get at this new place. It's going to be hot and muggy here this weekend, or at least that's what the idiot who usually messes up the weather report is saying.

I'm looking foward to seeing some old silver from you then. I run across your posts on some of those other threads from time to time.
