Went out Thursday for my usual marathon hunt - 12 hours. A bit sore after swinging that 9 1/2" coil!!! It started out slow and then found the 1959 D Silver Roosevelt. I was a bit disappointed. This place rarely has Roosevelt's (except clads). But soon after found the 1905 and 1912D barbers, about 3 feet apart. Ended with the 1927 Mercury. 14 Wheats, some clad and some other nice stuff and ton's of junk. The cut in half plate is probably from an early car or buggy. Wish I had the other piece. Any guesses on the company's name? All in all a good hunt. This month has been great for my silver count. HH
. I worked it out heavily and was just about done with it when they started to scrape the grassy areas. Bobcat city!!! You should have seen my eyes!!! Now stuff out of reach due to the mineralization was surface to 4" deep. Pulled about 30 or so Indians and the Barbers, Mercs, etc... that I've posted earlier. Situations like this don't come around very often, so when they do you have to grab them. That's why most of my posts have been from the park. But I'm doing the colonial thing again and will only visit the park when I need a change. Colonial hunting yields less finds, but rarer ones sometimes. If you want Barbers, Change your location to where people hung out around 1900 and with persistence you will get them. Good luck and HH.
