Titanium signal

Does anyone know what target number and tone a titanium ring would make? A painter lost his titanium wedding ring last summer and I had forgotten all about it till now. I didn't have my safari then. Would be nice to return it

A few past finds detected by a Safari, by Goldstrike (about 3/4 of the way down this first page) shows a man's platinum wedding band that he found. He said in his last statement in that section that it read as a 21. Be aware that if it is wider, narrower, thicker or thinner than the one in that picture the number will be different. I found a women's platinum engagement ring with a diamond that read as a 6, but it was much thinner than a man's ring would be. If I were doing it I would dig everything between 15 and 25 and that should give you enough range to find it if its a mans plat. ring. If it's very thin, use 10 as your lower number.

Platinum is a precious metal. I don't think titanium is. I may be wrong. Are they similar in composition? And will a detector read them similar?

I found a men's titanium on the beach & I believe it was reading a 10. I don't have it anymore or I would double check to see the reading, But I'm pretty sure it was +10

Thanks. I think I read it was low like that. But around my house where there are scraps of aluminum roof and stuff I have been ignoring them. Ill have to re-check. Is the tone similar I wonder? I would guess it would be.

Sorry about the earlier post. I haven't got a clue in the world how I misread titanium.

I looked through my rings and I did find 1 titanium men's wedding band. I checked it now and it read 12. In MetalMiners post above his read 10, so maybe dig numbers from 8 to 15 and see if that finds it. Good luck.

Thanks for checking.
