To Audio 1 or not .

This question is to all you seasoned explorer ll guy's . I've been running with my audio on normal since I got my detector may of 05 . This detector rock's . I've done good in normal and dig lot's of deep targets that are nothing more then a tick .I've try ed to run audio one in some of the trashy areas I hit I cant stand it . I have a friend who runs his explorer in audio one and dose awesome . I feel I do good but I want to get all I can out of my explorer . Can someone tell me the advantage of running in audio one .

In very clean ground I use audio 1 ,for me it seems to lock on deep targets better,in trashy areas I use normal and if I get a deep iffy signal I will check it with audio 1. This seems to work great for me.:minelab:

I use audio 1 almost all of the time; it gives me a clear idea of what is making the sound. When I first made the switch from normal it was music to my ears and the finds started to come. Just give audio 1 some time to learn how the sounds roll out. Pick what audio works for you each person hears and reads what they hear differently.
Good luck mpk

Hey I think you should just keep it a secret!!! Lol. OK Randy here's the scoop from me. When I first started using the Explorer II a couple of years ago, I like you only used normal sounds and the Mine Lab wiggle to get the deep Targets. What Audio one dose for me, is put an automatic wiggle on it. That is what I Like most about it. You can be going at a slow or fast sweep speed, and Bamm the fluty signal will stop you dead in your tracks. Especially in trashy areas. Most of the iron I hear sounds like a one chirp. Now granted that could be a deep coin on edge, but most of the time it's a nail. Now I like to dig the deep targets and if it's a deep one I'm digging it anyway, just In case it has a co-located target. The shallow ones that hit like this are loud and sound long and lock on hard and really don't give that fluty sound. Rather it's a loud Round sound. It sounds like a solid tone. Most of the time I just raise the coil up above the ground and see if it starts to make a deep fluty sound to decide if I should dig it or not. By the way, you do just fine with your settings. I'm sure most treasure hunters would give there right arm to find the stuff you found this year. so I don't want to hear that cry baby stuff anymore. LOL. Randy is one of the best there is so don't let him fool you. Thanks Randy. Your a good person and a great friend.

Tom

P.S. Heres some pictures from yesterdays finds.

Tom , I ran with audio one yesterday and picked up the pin and IH and several wheat's and I liked it in the area I was in . But as you know the places I hunt can go from clean and quiet to super trashy in feet. And I wanted to get an idea of what other guy's use .Tom what did you think of the polish socialists pin .P.P.S. .Z.S.P. How many of those are there out there . To think I almost pitched it in the trash .

I like the Polish Pin. You almost thru it away?? Wow I need to check my finds more carefully. I hope you find some good stuff at the white house Tomorrow. As always, a pleasure hunting with you buddy. one more thing in trashy areas, turn deep off and keep fast on. The fluty sounds get faster between targets. I think you'll really like that. Clarence hunts like that almost all the time in trashy areas.
