To Eric: Your 8 inch mono search coil

Hello Eric,
Happened to see that you have built two search coils that will operate on the Minelab SD2200d's. My question is- Will these coils operate on a Minelab GP Extreme?? If so, how do you rate them against Minelab's 8 inch mono or Coiltek's 10x5 elliptical as far as sensitivity and depth?? Thanks for all your help in advance.

Hi Rob,
I don't know if my coils will operate on the GP Extreme. They were designed for the SD2100 and the 2200 and I am not sure how similar the Extreme is. Don't fancy buying one to find out <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=""> My coils do not have any better performance; they are just fully waterproof and submersible.

All the SD coils will work fine on the GP, in fact the GP performs best on the monos, 'in my humble opinion', - John

Thanks a million for your reply back. I respect your opinion, and believe others when they say you build "Ace in the Hole" type detectors and accessories. Would like more info. on the coil if possible, do I contact Bill's Site for more info.?? The use of the coil would be for submerging in shallow waters.
