Hi my CS 7UMD can't sniff a small gold chain ! is it a coil size problem ? is it possible to change internal settings ? thks Bruno:cry:
 
Your detector runs at 15Usec I believe and is probably not sensitive enough to detect the very small chains. You would need a detector running at 10Usec to be able to pick them up I think. Eric's main models will run that low. Yours was designed by him a number of years back for C-Scope. Don
 
That is correct. I have a unit that runs at 5uS, and even that cannot see certain gold chains. The other problem is that the shorter the pulse delay, the more signal you are going to get from wet sand. 10uS is OK, but 5uS is becoming a problem. OK for fresh water beaches, but not salt water.
