here's pic of Ma in her younger days......
will post a newer pic of me when I am able to do so.....but this will give you an idea and, of course, I haven't changed a bit over the years that have passed so quickly! Time waits on no one!
I am almost 74 years of age in a few months, as I was born in the summertime! Cliff and I were raised on a farm until he left home and I graduated from high school in 1953. My ex and I were married in 1955 and divorced in 1988! I have three children....Susan is 53, David is almost 50, and my youngest daughter is Tami, 40, which was like starting all over again! I used to Crochet, embroidery, sew clothing, do smocking and etc, as many women my age did back when and then in the fall of 1980 my ex purchased a White's Coinmaster and started
MD,'ing and, of course, I wanted to do it, also....soooo purchased another detector for me and more later!
I had been detecting until just a few years ago when my health deteriorated until I was sick too often....but I loved the hobby and still miss hunting for the lost treasures! I have collected many things by going to garage sales, flea markets, i collected and rec bells as gifts, depressed glass and cyrstal dishes, assorted cups, and many other things....(I think me home runneth over with mostly junk)
I've been collecting coins for many, many years and antiques! Some were my grandmother's, my grandpa's, my uncle's and mom and dad's.....sooooo I am overwhelmed with what I have and I think I have been blessed too much!
Susan has 2 daughters, David has 1 son, 2 daughters and 1 stepson, Tami had 4 sons but 1 passed away from Infant Death Syndrome at 3-1/2 months. We took it very hard but will see him again someday! From the granddaughers and grandsons, I now have 7 great-grandchildren; therefore, you can know why I am feeling my age! Whew....life has been difficult on the farm and during marriage and after the divorce, but Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, and Holy Spirit for your loving guidance, provision and protection over me for my overcoming all things! Amen!
With my brother with me, I seem to be the caregiver now because of his illnesses, but God is with me and him, for there is nothing too hard for God to do by helping me to endure and overcome what lies ahead for Cliff and me and my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, for although life might be a bed of Roses, there is plenty of thorns on those Roses! But we have Jesus!
Okay, my pic is for just some humor and will try and get another pic of what I look like now, sometime later! This Computer gives me fits and I get confused too easily!
God Bless! Betty
