Sir, I have never owned a PI unit but must say I am interested. I have been discussing with Terry in Hawaii about his units and have contacted Bill several times and I have had a few talks with you via the forums....I am not a advanced person in the understanding of the machines so what I am suggesting may make you swallow real hard. I am a persistant hunter. I own two Fisher CZ 20's and a Excalibur 1000.
My water detecting is done in Florida. The East Coast beaches have been hammered in the past with hurricanes, the West coast beaches less and the Northern West beaches...quite a few also. Homes, apartments, condos, high risers, little boats, big boats destroyed by hurricanes. The iron parts are all over the place in lower Eastern Florida and there is plenty but much deeper in Northern West Florida.
Terry uses his CS7 in a manner which allows him to ID most iron signals when found. His Aquastar is more sens. to gold and he prefers it, I believe in the cleaner areas. I believe he uses the CS7 to clean sweep an area and then finishes the area off with the Aquastar, as we all know he is very successful so it would pay me or anyone to minic him anytime. I have never been to Hawaii so I don't know what iron problems he has compared to ours...
I believe Terry told me that the ability to use the CS7 in this manner is not available in the Aquastar, that would make sense to you, Bill and Terry. Maybe it is not possible to build a Aquastar with the ability of the CS7 to tell the iron from a good target.
Here is my suggestion and here is my question:
"Can you build a Aquastar with a button to push that would eliminate or null out the iron like the CS7 the way Terry uses it and still have the elements that would make it like the gold like the Aquastar? If so I am very interested.
I most likey made a big problem in design into a few sentences....
Thanks Sir,
Frank Hamill....

Hiya Frank,
Don't be so modest my friend. I think you're a pretty sharp cookie. If you get this figured out, let me know as I too am interested.
Momma and I are kicking Florida around ourselves. If not now, soon...

Sending a mail to you at your home...."Quit Kicking It Around About Florida" and come on down....Frank

Bill, that is most likely one of the most honest answers that I have been given by a dealer that is selling a different brand detector. I hope many people read your post as your credibility just jumped up to a spot that few can achieve.
Even if I have "maybe" the best detectors for the job at hand, I can't sit back and get happy if there is something out there that has a chance of being better. Everyone has areas that need improving and learning....new and different detectors are learning and sometimes improving, I know my skills need improving...Everyday I learn something new....
Thanks Bill, I am impressed....Frank

Frank,
Since you want to move to the PI gang, I'd be
happy to take all of those nasty VLF machines
off your hands... <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

Dang Ross! You did not leave your address with the post and UPS just left here and told us today was the last day to get the package there for Christmas (hehehehee).
The way I look at it is I am just about to turn 58. The insurance companies tell us that 50% of the male population is dead by age 60. By age 70, 73% of the male population is dead and gone. I have worked hard all my life taking care of 3 kids and a wife who all had "wants" all the time....some they needed and manythey just wanted...I was the supplier. Now I see that I have a 50% chance of reaching 60 and a 25% chance of making 70....If the 25% to 50% is bad for me my wife and family is going to have a high quality yard sale cause I am at the age to "play and pay" cause I have earned it....Why not a PI? Right? Just like the commericals say on TV to women "Because I am worth it!" (hehehehee) Goodness what a box top I am on....(hehehehee) Merry Christmas Ross and a "Gold" New Year to you...Frank

I just hope I can afford a decent VLF water
machine before I become one of those statistics
you mentioned... <IMG SRC="/forums/images/wink.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=";)">
I just want to know one thing:
Why are all my hobbies so darned expensive !!!!
