To show our support for a wise decision - we ate at McDonald's last night

Pete in MI

New member
Many who are new here may not know that McDonald's supported the Gay and Lesbian agenda...proclaiming proudly their stand. This was cause for me and many others to boycott eating and spending our money at their establishments. I do not just make this stuff up. There is a watchdog group that alerts familys of such things. As a Christian, I personally find (you may or may not agree) that I cannot spend money God has given to me to support evil in this world.

The watchdog group is the American Family Association and yesterday they issued this news about McDonald's. My wife Sherry and I both felt for such a turn around they should be rewarded with a show of support (financially) for their new decision in leaving the evil agenda out of their business.

May God bless McDonald's executives and everyone from top to bottom of their employment. If you want to show your support you might want to do so by buying a burger or something there now to show that all along we wanted to eat them great fries but didn't for a reason and now with that reason gone both us and them can enjoy the company of each other again (McDonald's enjoying our money and us their food).

God bless McDonald's and all other companies that decide to:
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Thank you McDonald's for turning from sin.]

as a fellow Christian I agree with you but I myself have had issues with this train of thought. Maybe you can help me out. Here's what has happened with me:
A few years back our church ( Assembly of God ) issued a boy cot of Walt Disney. Here a family place like this which is geared for kids has a gay day once a year. what could anyone say taking their kid to see mickey mouse and see a bunch of same sex people holding hands through the park? I agreed with the church that it is wrong and my dollars shouldn't go there. However as I thought of not spending my dollars where companies do things against the Bible and not talking my dollars to Disney I thought of all the booze and cigarettes Meijers sells. That's wrong also. And then while going inside a gas station I saw a lot of others things they sell that's wrong. So I shouldn't go to Meijers, walmart or buy gas. I wondered if I should quit my job at Pfizer I've had for 23 years as they give benefits to same sex partners. You see my point. After more thought I ended up still going to all these places and figured they will have to answer for what they do. God knows I'm against these things
Help me out here. Whats your thoughts on boy cotting almost every place?
in others words if you look at most all places you could find a reason not to go there
Your thoughts?
Greg

it was about the hidden things within the cartoons. and there are many i have seen them myself. i still watch disney cartoons with my kids but now i pay very close attention to what is within the show. some of it is ok some is not. my point...i feel if we pray to our Lord what our concerns are and we ask for guidence in making such decisions. i feel He will hear our prayers and guide us. though it may not be the way we would have chosen. i guess it all depends on our own levels of faith and conviction. and if some feel through thier convicitions to boycott a place then who is to say they are wrong. on the flip side if one feels it is not neccesary to boycott due to thier level of convictions then who is to say that is wrong. my opinion is to always follow Gods lead in whichever way he may lead you. feel free to PM me if you are wondering what is in which disney cartoons that may have been overlooked for many years.

Thanks Pete for posting about McDonald's opting out of joining and supporting homosexuals and llike-kind. I'm sure the boycott had a lot to do with it, for they were firm in being a member of their board! They still aren't joining our faith either, as they are not joining either side but staying neutral like AFA asked them to do! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for hearing and answering our prayers!

I agree, that if we know our money will be specifically going to support abortion or homosexuality and such, then it is our perogative to either participate or not! I know that any money we spend is going to support some kind of sin, but when you know for sure that sinners are profiting from it, then I, the same as you, will not attend or participate in their evilness!

Just remember the Bible says, Just like the days of Noah and Lot, they will be eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage! So since it was so sinful in Noah's time and homosexuals were rampant in Lot's time, so will it be before the end of earth's age as we know it now! The sinners are waxing worse and worse, but we Christians should be shining brighter and brighter... Daniel--Chapter 12.... that means holding strong to our faith and not compromising and not being ashamed of Jesus by spreading His gospel truth wherever God sends us to save souls for Him!

We can't control every $1.00 spent....like taxes and etc.....but we can let others know that money spent for sin is wrong and then God will honor and forgive His child for what we don't have control over....but God is always in control....so don't fret or worry...put everything in the hands of God and don't take it upon ourselves again......to be carrying heavy loads that are too hard to bear!

God Bless!
Betty
