Today I was denied to vote and now I might not get to at all!!!

I moved a year ago, and last month I went to the board of elections and had my address changed, went to early vote today because tommorow my schedule is full. When I got there I had to wait in a fairly long line. Well I finally got to the head of the line and started to fill out the paper. I hand her my ID and she says is this your current address?

I say "no" but I had my address changed with the board of elections last month, she checks the computer and says yes you did, do you have anything with you that proves you live there??? can u believe that? I had my driver's license, my SS card, credit cards, you name it.........but they would not let me vote. Said I had to have something with my new address on it.

I am so frustrated I could feel my blood boiling. I was told to have ID to prove who I was, I had several forms and was still denied to vote, and now I do not even know if I can get there tommorow.

I bet the poll workers were democrats.........:veryangry:

if a homeless person can vote and list his address as a park bench then they should have let you vote!!!!!!!

Hey, goes4ever, do you have utility bills or credit card statements showing your name and new address on them or car registration, taxes paid or anything else with your name and new address? If so, I would go in as early as possible and vote and then, if you are late for work, explain what the problem was and that you tried to vote and couldn't! WE NEED EVERY VOTE WE CAN GET AND PLEASE DON'T LET THEM STEAL YOUR VOTE FROM YOU! Go get them, Superman, with God's help and may we Christians win!!
