a day to go to your local cemetery and quietly kneel in prayer for those that gave thier lives so that you have the freedom to do so.
NOTHING ELSE.

That is certainly one way to honor those who have gone on before us. We should than God for those Vets and loved ones each day. We are a fortunate nation to have so many who have and are still serving so we can enjoy the freedoms that we do. God bless all wo have served and those who are now.

:usaflag::garrett: Michigan Greetings!

My response is in total agreement with you all but I would add that we should also honor those still living, who have given several years to Uncle Sam fighting for freedom. Must we die before we're remembered for our years of service to keep the world a better place?

But in my book..every day of the year is a day to thank our Veterans.
