Today was just too nice of a day to just stay home so my buddy & I went out to an old Boy Scout camp that has been pounded to DEATH over the years. When we got there somebody tore the place up off roading, there were rutts all over the place!!! I figured that maybe those dummys may of brought up some deep coins as the rutts were 8 to 12 inches deep and mud was splattered all over the ground (dried when we went today). Well right off the bat we both stated following the rutts, all of our coins were max 2 to 3 inches deep under the newly placed splashed mud!!!!
The big shocker of the day was when I got a dime signal at surface level, well I scraped the surface dirt away and seen the edge of a dime, I figured it was going to be a Rosie or maybe even a Merc - NOPE ITS MY 2ND EVER BARBER DIME, AND I GOT MY 1ST ONE 2 WEEKS AGO!!!!
My buddy found 8 or 10 Wheaties, 1 Buffalo Nickel, 1 War Nickel, 1 Rosie Dime and we both found some modern clad. Here is my take:
