Hit some sites today, dug 132 coins, none old, 1 silver ring, 1 gun, and misc stuff.

maybe the gun is from cracker jack. I found one a little different then yours and was told it was a cracker jack toy. Maybe something to research in the winter when its to cold to detect. Oops, I mean could be something to research when its to hot to detect

Pretty sure the gun is a game piece from the game clue! The penny is a coin cross, like Gunswinger gave several of us. Keep it in your pocket as a reminder that Jesus is always with you. I carried mine for a few years, but it disappeared recently at a Civil War dig/campout.
