Today's digs

steve in so la

Well the rains stopped and it's easy digging. I hit some places and dug about 50 coins, 1 Japanese, 1 Mexican, and a neat cross with a loose crown around it. It's not silver but looks good.

Here's the cross & crown plus a medal thingy that says Botelo. Any info on that ? It has a maze inscribed on it also, like the Tohono O'odom Indians belief that underground was the origin of man. Steve in so az

looks more like a watch fob for a pocket watch than it does an ear ring. Great finds Steve. Our digging is winding down and guessing yours will soon be picking up. Will be watching your finds.

It sure does. thought it was silver at first.
I have a bunch of great spots lined up for next 2 weeks so I'll post the finds to keep you all up north from locking up :) Steve

I got to get out soon! :)

I can't! :( The ground was froze today and now we are under a winter storm warning with freezing rain etc....! I guess I will have to move to Tucson for a few months! :)

more on the way and freezing rain expected on top of that...doubt we will make it to the church tomorrow.

Took out the batteries and battery pack out of the detector (and the AA battery pack).

Looking for winter activities...learning more on the Q-Chord, learning the keyboard and if I can keep the dogs from howling...the harmonica.

I could work on the other snowblower (old giant one)...in case the small one isn't enough for the snow this winter.

Those are neat finds Steve. I don't have any info on the medal thingy but it is cool. Love the cross also!
