Had a great day in VA!. Nice and cool & wet. Found a few firsts, buffalo nickel and a bayonet!
 
Nice finds - especially that bayonet. What was the US thing form? Almost looks like a cover plate for a keyhole in a lock. Happy hunting!

Besides the Buff,what are the round objects in the photo ?
I'm guessing flat buttons ???
