Hi guys,
I got out today after work and went to a new spot. I found some clad, a 1948 wheat penny and a 1943 three pence! Its not the silver variety unfortunately. The only thing I can guess is it was brought over by a soldier after WWII. I guess I just have a knack for finding foriegn coins!:)

The marbles I just happened to find and I think the broke piece of brass is maybe a from an old faucet or something. Any idea what it is or from what era?

Thanks for looking, and HH!

Congratulations on the 1943 3 pence coin. :clapping:
I managed to find a 1942 3 pence coin this year
and wanted to share the picture with you.
I thought the same thing, that a soldier must have
brought it back and somehow lost it. Thanks for
sharing your finds. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Thanks guys! I thought it was some kind of token until I cleaned it later but I'm excited that where I'm hunting has coins that old. I have yet to dig ANY silver but I'm methodically ridding the town of aluminum bottle caps!
Gold Nuggets, nice coin!:beers: Yours looks real nice. Is there anything I can use to clean it up a bit without damaging it?
Thanks for the responses and HH!

Nice find with that Three-Pence. It's always nice to have something different in your finds and maybe next time you will get some Silver on your outing. Just keep positive and the Silver will come. Good Luck and HH to you on your next hunt.:detecting:

Mine came out of the ground pretty much like it is shown. I just used warm water and some tooth paste with a soft bristle tooth-brush and scrubbed it up. The ground was very nice to that coin for a change....... usually coins like that come out pitted and in bad shape. GN :wiggle:
