Hi Guys,

Went to the park for a couple of hours this morning ended up with $28.20 worth of one and two dollar coins, plus a nice little gold eternity ring and a sliver ring, might just give it another go on Thursday, still got acres to go. The lower Pic is my settings for coins and gold jewelery, the only thing I change for beach hunting is the sensitivity which I bump up to about 28

Regards....Boony

:beers: I'm from across the pond and may try a hunt when the weather gets better. I'm wondering what your settings were ??? I also have to consider the $97.00 passport that will be into effect by that time.
I'm using the XS but I'm sure the settings are the same....all I can tell from that photo is IM off and sensitivity at 5 advanced smart.
What did you dis out ???
THANKS and HH

SWEET finds. You are likely use to finding those but I am not. I have found a few Great Britain One Pennies and some other foreign coins but none you have in the pic.

Nice finds Booney. I wanted to thank you for the tip on resizing my pictures. I loaded some pictures of the old chimney today after work. Check them out!!

Hi Pulltabby,

The settings are as on the screen shot, to set it up I blanked the screen in advanced, then went through my coin album for everything I was likely to find and taught the EX11 this pattern, I then got all me Wife's gold and silver jewellery and taught the detector to pick up all that stuff and saved the two patterns separately. when I go out I just recall the two patterns and start searching. The sensitivity is set low for the parks because we are not permitted to dig holes so I just search the surface area, however I have been known to go down to three or four inches to get something that has shown up as a good signal. Here a couple of years ago they cancelled all permits to hunt the parks controlled by our local council because of the hole diggers and most of the old stuff has be removed anyway, however I'm happy to hunt he top couple of inches and pick up a few modern coins and the odd gold ring. The modern coins add up and allow you to buy something new for your detector. Searchings the parks like I do, in the last two weeks I have picked up a bit over $200 in coins 5 gold ear rings, five silver rings, and three gold rings all out of the top 2 - 3 inches, so it works for me. Just purchased an X1 Probe out of the profits so I'm looking forward to Thursday morning to try it out.

All the best.......Boony
