Todays hunt.....

kickback

New member
Got my housework done yesterday. It's a balmy 97 to 100 degrees outside with a 15 mph south wind.I hunted a lot across the street from me.The house was burned down last year.Zip,no coins. Two blocks north of me is a school yard. The school opened in 1919 and closed in 1964.The man that bought it burned it down in 1981.I've hunted about 1/3 of it so far today.Got a 1940 Mercury dime,1944-d wheatie and a silver medal of the Virgin Mary. The man said there have been at least 7 other guys with detectors hunt it so far, over the years.I'm going slow, griding it out.I just came in to cool off.I drank a half gallon of water.I was so dry I couldn't spit on coins to get the dirt off to see the dates.I'm out the door back to the school. To be continued.....

Don't forget to take some picks for us!!! Good luck on the rest of the property!!!:detecting:

I just finished the school not much there.I found another Mercury dime,1941 plain and 2 more wheaties,a 1919 plain and a 1940 plain.I didn't find but 5 coins but 2 were silver.I think wheaties are my favorite coins.
