Todays Mini Hunt at the Tot Lot with the great Ace 250

Trackerman

New member
Well today i decided to striclty hunt for gold and i found some. I set up the Ace in Custom mode to only aceppt from iron foil to Pull tabs wich by the way worked awesome. I hunted a park that i pretty much had picked clean. I started on the grass and mostly dug pull tabs and foil wich is fine because thats were gold hits alot at as well as nickels. On the grass i found a few nickels and that was it. Then I decided to hit the tot lot and was hitten foil and small buttons and small pieces of iron etc. The Ace is really a good Detector. These Ace 250s are as good as high dollar machines. I decided to search around the swings and bam hit a small gold chain with a charm of some saint. Then i continued to hunt and found a small cross that was just iron. I noticed the gold was hitten at the 5 cent mark on the Ace or the foil range or pul tab range. I tested a few gold items i had with me as well. These Ace 250 find small gold chains that pretty impressive for a 200 dollar machine. Ive found more jewlry with this Ace 250 than My Minelabs and others. Not to say Minelab and others arent good its just this machine is simple an d efective. From now on ill youse this custom mode for gold works really well

way to go trackerman,, gold in any shape is always good to find, I had never thought of canceling out the high end of the scale,, but I am mad keen on coins aswell as gold so at the moment it defeats my purpose,,HH

I will have to try that some time trackerman!! Congrats on the finds!! I love my ACE250 Too!!:detecting:

- - You impress with your choice of mode. Not easy to hunt that way.

Nice going Trackerman ! I believe a person could get accustomed to digging
gold jewelry. By setting your Ace250 to accept foil to pulltabs I believe you have
just about eliminated any competition. Yeah, the Ace250 is good on gold jewelry
and digging what you do on totlots should give you outstanding results. Good
example right here.
Good hunting to you ! Gene

Alright!:clapping:Great hunt!:detecting:Congrats on the gold!:cheers:DIO ROCKS!:yo:Happy Hunting!:)

I've dug at least 50 religious medals, silver, pewter, copper, aluminum, but not a gold one yet. Is it marked? I'd like to see a close up, it looks lovely.

Good to hear that the ace 250 is better than other expensive machines. I tried an air test with a $1000 dollar machine on the side and the ace 250 with the 9 x 12 coil was deeper. Incredible but true. I dont want to say the brand but it is Garret's main competitor.

Yes the Ace is very easy to use especially to identify coins with and jewlry too. Ive used manny detectors and few have such an easy target identity as the Ace. Also its pretty acurate at what it identifies The chain is marked 14k and the pendant says somthing but letters are too small to read. Im impressed at how sensitive the aces are to small items. As you can see in the photo these items are pretty small. The Ace likes foil and nickels and pull tabs and thats good. 90 percent of jewlry thats lost out there is womens and 10 percent other most jewlry will read as foil. Some times nickels and pull tabs too. I have found gold with the ace silver older coins quarters nickels pennys and dimes. For the money it cant be beat.
