Had time today for a short hunt at a corner lot with a house built in 1914. Spent about 3.5 hours overall, and started on the curb strip working my way towards the intersection. Found three tokens fairly close together, thinking they were bus tokens at first. Finally got over the only silver of the day, a nice 1959 Rosie!

Then I started getting numerous copper roofing or siding fasteners, they were all over the yard closer to where the house sat. I dug all of them I came across, thankfully none were deeper than 2" or so. Cleared out a couple of these copper whatsits, and still noticed a softer signal not far away. From only 4" down came a sharp 1919 S Wheat - the one and only Wheat for the day. Went on to find a shallow 1952 D nickel, only 2" deep. Those darn fasteners read 66-71, almost exactly like a Wheat!

I ran 4khz Reactivity 3 today and the soil was about an 7 out of 10 for mineralization. The vertical bar on the detector frequently read "half-filled" or higher most of the day, and I'm sure this impacted depth. Some of the clad quarters were 4-5" and sounded pretty consistent, but didn't give any VDI.

The weather is turning quite cold, so may be getting back to Pueblo if it gets snowy or frozen here. Pueblo is consistently 10 degrees warmer and much drier than here, and it's only a 30 minute drive! However mineralization is much worse there...I want to see how the new software handles that soil....

Found the inlaid spoon last hunt along with 3 Wheats. This 11" coil has found silver every time Ive taken it out - first hunt with it yielded by first seated dime dated 1887, and it just keeps on giving. Who knows where next hunt will be!
