Been up since 4,,,full moon, clear and warm, should pull some silver or gold up out of the ground. Checking Mapquest for some sort of place to go...the wife brought home 87gr of silver jewelry yesterday from her foray to the second hand stores...got it all for 25 bucks..she really rubbed it in! :rant: Been thinking about Ground Balance...some are saying on the other forums to adjust ground balance -10 for greater depth?...might try this out today, not that I'm a deep silver digger, just curious. With the F70 maybe a person has to find a spot with a +10 reading to GG on? Its so warm a guy could actually get in the water with waders of course, might do that. No snow and no frozen ground here at all!..sniped 10q's and a few dimes, pennys yesterday from that trashy park I go to...really after the gold! Thinking about where it might be, really concentrating hard, trying to "see" it.. no clear direction yet...might just have to wing it like normal...I sure hope somebody finds something great this weekend, Good Luck All!

strange winter weather all over we have had a drought here on the west coast cold and dry here, i did a bunch of reading trying to find a way to manualy adjust the ground balance on a f70 with no luck all we get is what ground grab sets it at or turn it on and leave it at 90 i think we have to go to a f75 or t2 to have a manual gb let us know how you fare with that, ive been playing with different settings on sense and threshold been noticing a little more depth running sense around 95 and thres at -7 its a bit chattery though hh

One 43p war nickle, and one 44 wheatie...13.73 total... no big silver or gold, but did get a heartjump with the bracelet! The wife wanted me to show you what SHE got! I was mistaken, she said she spent 15 bucks for all of this silver, 15 minutes of time, and a 1/4 gallon of gas!: ..ranting:

Hey EZ, I'm still running a low sens, anywhere from 53 up to 68 and a -3 thresh, I tried all sorts of tricks to GB negative, but then decided to just swing. I hit some deeper signals, past the reach of my 6" screwdriver, but didn't go after them, most of this stuff was shallow to 5". I plotted a map using mapquest satellite and hit a bunch of new locations. Really running and gunning. I bet 8 in all, totters, sports fields, etc. I thought for a minute I had her with that bracelet JIm, came out all shiney and all, I'll tell ya, Furious, to each his own when it comes to hunting for loot! She likes to shop for it, I like to grub around in the dirt! I'd like to get her out and let her hunt the beach some nice day, but I bet she'd get bored pretty quickly, just as I do when she MAKES me go shopping!:rofl: Well, she wants me to take her dancing tonight, I've had a long day, but whats a guy gonna do?

That's a nice hall mud. I gotta get the f5 out tomorrow. this weather is pretty odd. but I am sure anyone that can get out and hunt is enjoying it immensely. I am! Mud I don't mean to be a smart arse but the fact that the little lady has scored some good silver does have some humor to it.
 
Hey Blade, its funny alright! She can laugh until I come home with some big stinky gold! Then, when I spend it all on metal detecting stuff, she can go on over to Bed Bath and Bedamned and buy herself a towel to cry in! We had a great time, great blues music, I gotta get up in a few and head back out in the mud flats to find that hoard!

yep i hear ya if the wife aint happy nobodys happy, you had a good day your wifes score reminds me of my sister she bought a box full of junk jewerly on ebay turned out to be a 18 k gold chain in it weighing almost 1 ounce hh
