After work I decided to see if the ground was soft enough to finally get back out and detect and thank god it was. I was beginning to have Explorer use with-drawls! It was actually interfering with my sleep once or twice! Talk about ADDICTED! Anyways, I finally made it back out again after a very torturous week or so. I decided to go give a Vacant Lot I live next to a try since I know there is a lot of Iron and Junk in it along with some goodies if you are able to swing over them. This Vacant Lot has yielded quite a few Tokens and Coins along with some interesting Relics and such, and since it was after 4:00pm, I wanted to stay local and being that the Lot is about 100' or so Wide and I would estimate about a good 300-400' Long, I had to give it another shot. Lots of area to cover and I haven't even touched it yet. I have found 3 Halves at this Lot since I have been detecting it, 1 Walker that I found with my Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro (before the Explorer even existed) and 2 Barber Halves in the same hole and not very far from where the Walker was found. A few Indians, Silver Merc's and Roosie's, Wheats and other Coins. I have found around 8-10 Emil Gregor Tokens and 1 Minnesota Token. So that is why I keep working it. Ok. Now for what I found today. I found a few interesting Misc. Items along with a Pouch full of Trash, and some of these Items were in with Iron. I found an old License Plate Bolt with Wing Nut attached and it has a Red type Plastic Stone. Also found 2 older Belt Buckles, an old Dresser Drawer Knob, and some kind of Button with I think a Flower Type Design. I also found a larger Marble in one of the holes which measure 3/4". What I think was the best find for today was an Indian with Head-Dress. It has a hollow open back on it, measures 1-1/2" High and 1-1/8" Wide, and I do have to say it is a very nice find and it will look great in my Display Case. The only Coins found today were 1 Zinc Penny, 2 Clad Quarters, 2 Wheat Pennies dated 1945 that has a piece missing out of it and the other is a 1946-d, and another Token. The Front has 25c on it and the Back reads Emil Gregor / Dray And Transfer / Casselton, N.D. It has a bit of Crud on it but it does come off but will take a bit to get it totally clean. This Token is a better one and is very sought after by Gary Kruessel. I have already traded about 5 or 6 of them to him and he still is interested in these Tokens. This Lot is the only place so far that has yielded this Token from my Home Town and I am 90% sure that the business isn't even mentioned in the Centennial Book. I have only browsed thru it so I am not entirely sure about that since I haven't read this Book yet, due to the Mass Collection of others I own and am currently reading. So I think this outing was a success even though a Silver would have been nice, but I will take the Indian Item and the Token in its place this time. Thanks for reading and looking at my finds. Good Luck and HH to you all!
