I got up with my buddy today for a hunt even though the heat was terrible.
First we stopped by an old school site where the finds were scarce, but at least we had some shade.
I managed to find two wheat pennies dated 1936 and 1945 and eyeballed the stone point ( minus the point ) after noticing some quartz laying all around the area in bare spots.
The other coins were found at a nearby park and some other newer schools.
I also scored my second half dollar for the year and even though both were clad, this one was a bicentennial half.
Hope everyone got to get out for some searching this weekend.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
