Steve, don't know if I've ever showed this to you or not.
I dug it and three others at a site that goes back to around 1915 or so in Woodworth, Wisc.. Word is, is that a company that produced hog colera serums operated there for some years. There has been activity on the site since they closed in the mid 30's, but I don't know of anything substantial that would have produced tokens like this. The sites all abandoned now; the token measures 1-1/2" in dia. and is just a bit thinner than a dime. Maybe it's not even from the site, I just figured with finding 4 on the same piece of property and in no close proximity, that they were not foreign to the site. The back side is blank as you can see; the other three tokens are identical except for the number in the center, they are all different. Brass or a close alloy; loud bugger! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">
