Tones on T2???

I have been reading about tones vs vdi numbers and would like to ask a question. On the T2 classic on deep targets that don't give an id but every once in awhile. Which tones are you using? 1,1+,2+,3,3b, dp? Which one do I need to be listening to for the right tone? Thanks

I run 3 tones when coin hunting and I listen for soft high tones which usually indicate a deep good target. Upon hearing the soft high tone I rotate around it to see if I get the same tone in a different swing direction if I don't it's usually falsing on a deep rusty nail or iron. I don' depend upon the Target ID other than what I know is a shallow target for the deepies I rely on the soft repeatable high tones from multiple directions.

For years i used 2+ on the audio and it does work well, but in the recent months have been using 3 tones of course high/low conductivity targets and iron,my reason for trying 3 tones is that it may be a chance that sometimes the T2 may not be able to recognise ie borderline case of being a good or a bad signal so it 'could' with just 2 tone choices say its a bad target, but my way of thinking that 3 tones could give it a little more leeway and thus reduce the possibility of a iffy signal sounding as iron.

I hunt mainly on deep pasture sites with larger coils,so TID would tend not show on the screen but the audio is still sinking out,but the 3 tone option for my deep site use does seem to be more reliable and positive,th sites that i hunt are sometimes maybe 3000 years old Bronze Age sites,so a screen on deep targets is pointless but by using 3 tones it gives me a slightly more reliable chance of hitting those deep targets rather than missing them whisper signals.
