Tonights Finds

well I managed to get out for a couple of hours tonightand was rewarded with a couple of firsts tonight.

1816 half penny token (Nova Scotia)

Not one..but TWO shillings!! 1817 and an 1834....the 1817 is worn pretty badly on one side, but I can tell it is different from the 1834 design. These were both in the same hole, and I'm guessing lost by a British Soldier. Probably a couple of days pay back then!?

1891 large cent

1870 dime

1906 and 1910 fishscales

a couple of buttons

and a pin that reads "Ontario 1917....4028 L O" any ideas what this is!?!

Hope all is well with everyone.

The finds in the pic are pretty much in line with the kinds of finds I usually make. Although I admit those are my first shillings. I find many old british coins here thought....war of 1812 buttons...etc. Most of my coins I find are between 1812 and 1890 or so. Where are you in Michigan!? Anywhere near Port Huron??

Kinda funny how we wait all winter to get out and git diggin and when summer finally arrives it's too hot or ground is too hard to dig. Great finds and keepon postin'em.
