I was able to hunt for a couple of hours this morning before it got to hot. Made a couple of good finds, but the most curious was the medallion. I recovered it from about 8". I was using my 6" DD Excelerator coil. Detector was set in coin/jewelery mode with gain set at +2, with no discrimination. If you know what the medallion could be for please let me know. It says it's a Saint Jude medallion.

n/t

I have ran mine for about 2 days and cant get over 4 inches mostly 2 to 3 inches.ground around here reads anywhere from 62 to 88 my sniper coil on my 250 gos deeper and my mini dd coil to.I have tyred every setting but no depth,Iam going to see what i can do with kelly co it is a 6 inch coil would figure to go at least 6 inches and according to the advertisement it should might have a bad one .I will try to take one detector with me to find deep coins and bring my mxt with the ex coil and see if it can see what i find. Thanks for information.

Maybe you aren't coming across any targets that are deeper than what you have found. The coil is not a deep seeker and was not designed for depth it was designed for trashy areas. Also if you are going to find the deeper targets you are going to have to go slow and listen for the faint signals. MHO. The medallion I dug today, I believe is the deepest target I have located with the 6". HH Dennis in Idaho

The Armenian Apostolic Church honours Saint Jude, along with Saint Bartholomew as their patron saint. In the Roman Catholic Church he is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.

The perfect Saint for this hobby

I was posting my reply more of a statement than a question and felt that it was verrrrry appropriate. My first religious medalion ever was Saint Christopher and my next was a Saint Jude. Between the two I figure that we are well represented. :)

Travelling afar to dig up lost items. That about sums it up I think.
