Not supposed to yet with new knee but couldn't resist any longer. Think i upgraded to the best detector. Set up: patterns 2 and 4, sens 10, auto balance at 44, 45, TID numbers on targets from mid 20 to 44, 45 didn't keep count but got a good amount of hits. Indicated depths to 10in. Cant dig with the new knee yet but i will be glad when i can. Be interesting to find out what these targets are. Been wondering how good the stock 9in coil would work here. See the Doc the 24th hope she will let me start working the knee more so i can go to digging.

I would be chomping at the bits too. But do be careful you don't want to get down again! You will be out there in time. Hope you do great. HH

Dont go wrecking that knee, whatever is in that ground has been there a day or two, another few weeks wont matter.....get better soon.

Take your time friend. It will be here soon enough. Good Luck.

Congrats on the new MD! Take your time with that knee. You do not want to put hunting off any longer,

Oh BTY you may want to work your sense up as you learn the 705. With those GB #s you ought to be able to run in the 18-25 range without too much falsing, Just play with it and see. Good luck to you, Beale.

My mother has got 2 knee replacements and they take a while to heal so do not rush things but are both almost 100% fine when healed, so you should be beeping soon. A word of advice, hunt with a partner(2 person team). After you 99 tone ID(by sound being broken up, only one way, or solid both ways), TID by the numbers( -8 to +48 ) being solid hits or bouncing doing this from at least 2 directions(broken up-jumping can be trash-junk and solid hits in both tone and numbers are a good sign of a good target but there are exceptions), and pinpoint the target then get your partner to bend down and dig your targets for you.

The stock coil is ok. It does well but I feel the 7.5 KHZ DD coil is the one you want to hunt with. It does a better job in soil with more mineralization. Also the sweeping motion is more efficient since the send and receive is side by side. One D is the send and the other D is the receive. With a concentric coil your outside coil is send and your inside is receive and since the inside coil is smaller you naturally tend to miss a lot of area when sweeping.

These are strictly my opinions and your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the concern folks. Seen doc yesterday for 6 week check up and passed. Got off the walker and put on Cain. Supposed to start doing leg lifts with weights now. Doc said when i get my balance back up and can get down on my good knee and can get back up without holding onto something i can start playing. Doc said i am ahead of where i should be with the recovery and i have a feeling i start lifting leg weights it wont be long till i can get out. It is finally cooling off here highs in the 80s and no more 120 degree humidity temps. Gave my cousins son a detector for his birthday so i have a partner now. Good luck on your hunts !
