Took The CZ-70 Out Of Mothballs Today...It Still Has The Goods!

It's that time of year again when I begin to make the switch from beach to land hunting. There's still a little good beach left, but now the old shcool yards, homesites, fields, and woods are calling me again. At the beach I pretty much use my Sovereign Elite, preferring it slightly over the CZ. So the CZ has been hanging on it's hook for some time now.
Took it to a very well pounded site today that has yielded a lot of silver in the past. The last few times out there I was lucky to find a wheatie, with either the CZ or the Sovereign. For some reason, the CZ was hot on it today though. I hot an area I've hit at least 50 times over the years. The targets are few and the iron is heavy. But with the 10.5" coil and a slow careful sweep, I managed a few good finds in about 2 hours of hunting.
Pictured are a '57 Rosie, a '43 quarter, a '41 Merc, a '37 Buffalo, an 1880 Indian, and 8 wheaties. Here's a shot of the group, right out of my pocket when I got home.

Here's a closer shot of the very rough Indian penny, cleaned up a little:

Mike... good deal on your finds. I know you've hunted those places to death, too.
Hey, did you nick Roosevelt in the head? Better give him an aspirin!

Nah, I looked at it with my loupe and the nick is old. The shiny part right above it seems to be the edge of the design of one of his hair channels. There's no fresh nick.
Anyway, so with the nick it's only worth what, maybe 11 cents? Instead of 12? If it was a Barber I would be concerned. They may be worth a quarter. It's all good though...silver kicks butt.

Nice finds Mike. We hunted together last year near Ft Nans**** with Harry and the gang.
Happy hunting

Ah yes, I've pulled a few bullets out of there too. The Fisher machines are in their prime at a spot like that. They sure punch down through that forest floor and get some deep ones. That area has been pounded to death, so if you have one of those "girly man" machines you can forget it.

I still say a CZ in the hands of a comptent user can get the old coins as deep as any on land..As far as saltwater beaches one of the best along with a Sov. Guess it would depend on what beach you are hunting.

You no what they say about hunted out places...I agree with the CZ-70, it's what I use minus the ego.

It's doing fine, thanks. I'm limited to "brisk walking" for fitness until I have a followup, but have walked 3 miles every night since being released after my 4 days in the hospital. I also went right back to work. I feel better than ever. Which makes sense, since I have full blood flowing through my arteries now, as opposed to NONE. None sucked.
