Just SE of Turner Field in ATL is a old neighborhood called "Peopletown" it is chock FULL of people! I was flying past on I75 and decided to wait out rush hour and scout...old houses and really old sidewalks and even carved curbs and brick streets from there all the way over to Grant Park...the bummer is where I was trying to hunt, too many people, and the ground was so hot I could not get the coil within a foot of it! Some old guy said lots of this was built on fill, and then he said it would probably be a good idea to leave,...I only hunted for 3 minutes..not because of the ground, I would have figured out a clean spot eventually...you can just smell the old coins in this area...there was just too dang many people wandering around with nothing to do...there are schools and totlots and curb strips galore...has anybody ever tried to get in there and hunt? drove home all night and made it home at 530 am today and ready to go tomorrow on the normal milk run...Everybody ready for a good weekend?
Mud
ps...a 15gr gold chain hits at 18-19 on the F70..and can only be heard with moderate settings when the coil is within 4" of it either balled up or strung out...in comparison, a very small 2gr gold ring hits at 23...perhaps its worth while to go after a few of those strange signals this summer in likely locations. Especially if you raise the coil a little and lose the signal, it might not be iron or foil after all...
