I decided to take the plunge with the new E-Trac and be one of the first 100 continental US owners of one of these bad boys!
Looking forward to see what this new machine can do. I compared prices from the various dealers and it seems that Minelab has pretty much fixed the price at $1498 - however the dealers are allowed to throw in "extras."
The best deal that I could find was through a forum sponsor: - and I was very happy to buy from them as they help make this a great forum!
I got the following items with a new E-Trac (and apparently they do the same with some other units like the SE):
An actual Lesche digger - not some cheap knock-off - I've had one for years and love it! It's an expensive digger, but worth it! I'm amazed that they're including it.
A real Minelab carrying case - again not some generic piece of junk...I like having the Minelab logo on my stuff.
Two year extended warrantee.
And this is the best part - free upgrade to a set of pro headphones like the Grey Ghost NDT - which go for about $160 alone or any of the other ones they offer.
The guy that owns the place is named Lynn and he's a very, very nice guy to do business with - very friendly. Lynn if you're reading this - thanks for the great service and looking forward to seeing that package arrive at my door.
Stay tuned for my first couple reports with the unit. I'm going to keep my SE with Pro coil so that I can compare the two units.
