Took The RELIC Out Today

I got to take the RELIC on a short hunt today. The detector is single tone and works great like the other Vistas. I hunted with the sensitivity maxed out, boost on, with the discrimination at 12 o'clock. Ground balancing was a "piece of cake" and only required one slight adjustment. The area I hunted had been pounded with very few remaining targets so I hunted in all metal and when there was a target, switched to disc. to rule out iron. When I got into a trashy area, I switched to disc. and slowed the coil down. The Relic, in my estimation, is a go-slow machine made to find what others have missed and it seems easier to determine if the target is iron or not. In fact, that is why I ran the disc at 12: because I was afraid it would disc out deep non-ferrous targets. If there deep targets, AM is the way to go !!
