I have TR white that will not work.
speaker ok, 9v ok, on/off switch ok, pot ok.
I have no circuit for this unit. can anyone help me get this up and running. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

I'm sorry I don't have the info you need, but that was the detector that got me started in the hobby a couple years back.
My neighbor had an estate sale, the detector was sitting there with the board and speaker loose inside and house paint oversprayed on the box. They gave it to me free because it was "broke"! I figured I could use it to clean up after a re-roof on my house. I tightened the nut for the pot, resecured the speaker, put in a new 9V, and it worked!!!! The overspray came off with a little bug and tar remover, the original paint amd labels survived!
I proceded to collect a small coffee can's worth of roofing nails from the yard! A few months later, after the wife, daughter and I had played with it at the park we were hooked. We found around $15 in change with it but we were digging alot of trash. A visit to the local White's dealer netted the wife and I a new Classic III. A few months later, a DFX! (My nephew has the old one now).
White's sent us a manual for free, but it really wasn't the right one. Now, their website has the right one that you can download for free! Maybe that would help? Maybe they would send you a schematic?
