General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Trade my X-Terra 70 with two DD coils for ???

Hey folks.

The new detector bug strikes again.

I've had this X-terra 70 for a while. It has a few issues which I've discussed on the forums.

The first is a repair to the battery compartment door. The repair has held solid for nearly a year and a half. I mentioned it here: Battery Door Quirk

The other is a quirky coil. It's a 10.5'' DD labeled as a HF coil, but it is identified by the machine as MF. I just assume that it is a MF coil that was mislabeled by Minelab. Whichever, it works excellently and has been my standard go-to coil. I discussed this issue here: Coil Misidentified.

I've also misplaced the original bolt that holds on the coil. I'm using a generic nylon bolt from Lowes and it's doing fine. Still, it's not OEM.

You're also getting a 6'' HF DD coil that I JUST bought off the forum. It was sold to me as "new" and I haven't used it yet. It looks perfect.


The detector otherwise is in average used condition but works excellent. I'm also throwing in a Minelab soft carrying case.

So what do you have to trade? I'm open to pretty much anything as long as it has a manual or automatic ground balance (not preset).

Hi Wayne, how about a Garretts G-500? It has a relic mode in the front and a coin mode in the back of the screen. IT works like the garretts GTX-550, it is a very good detector, works like it should. You ca email me at ( gdean.stone@yahoo.com ) Thanks Dean
 
but I'm going to have to pass on those.

I got out for a little bit on Saturday and used the little 6'' coil for about 2 hours, so I'll have to modify the original post above as the coil is no longer "new". It works excellent. Even though I didn't find anything good, I loved using the machine.

Questioning myself as to whether or not I even want to trade it.
