General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Trade Updated Gold Bug SE for Teknetics Omega

I have 2 SE's and don't need two. Both have been back to Fisher for the update that was required...both work perfect.
I am looking for an Ohmega to trade for. Here is the deal...you can keep your stock coil as I have one already and I will send the GBSE with the stock 5" coil. As long as your Omega uses the thread on style coil connector the coils are compatible and you can use the stock ohmega DD coil on the SE
 
Hmmm, I am not a huge expert on this, but I thought that the two machines operate on different frequencies, GB 19kh; Omega 7.8kh, so the coils are not compatible because they are tuned to a specific frequency. But like I said again, I am probably wrong, so someone correct or confirm this.
 
Dave adressed this several times. I understand why you would questions this as many did..even me. The coils on these machines are not built to be frequency specific as some other manufacturers coils are.
In this case the Omega DD coil wil work on the GBSE. He did say that the GBSE is not designed to work with concentric coils and as such Omega concentric coils may or may not work well. DD's though...will.
 
Have a 9 out of a 10 sidewinder with 8 inch stock coil and 4 1/2 inch sniper coil both with covers , interested in gold bug se. , let me know either way if interested can throw some cash too. Art
