transporting metal detector

My guess is that depends on how small of a bag you can put it in if you want to carry it on the plane. Otherwise.. pack it in a box like it's your grandma's fine china so it's still in one piece when you get to your destination. If it's a question of carrying-on electronic devices..I don't know if you can or can't.

I have been going to England the last few years and I took one detector on the plane in carry on and put backup machine into checked luggage. I made sure checked piece was surrounded by clothing to protect it. Carry on machine was also broken down and packed securely. I have only been stopped once in security and was waved off after a more experienced person came over and recognized what I was carrying. Good luck.
