during the last month or so myself and others have been helping out aberdeen uni,
do an archeological survey in aberdeenshire,
what we do is detect, find a target dig it and bag it and post a flag with the find ontop of the hole after we fill it in,
so the arckie can gps the position.

it keeps the cabin fever from setting in and allows us time to fine tune our kit.

sunday 10th july,9am start, quick walk to field with 6 horses in it,
they allow us to dig with horses or coos.

i was using the 705 with the 18.5khz 10.5" coil,

i didnt notice the plaster :rage:

so we enter the field and the horses come and say hello, then walk away no mints from this lot.
tight scots.

we line up in a row and i switch on the 705 but its acting strange GB and it wont GB at all,
no matter where i went.

i went through settings and sens, noise cancel etc, decided to change the coil as i thought it
may be iffy after using it on the beach the week before,
thats when i noticed the plaster on the scuff cover,,,,,,
