We left at 4 am Wednesday morning on our way to GA and SC. After a stop about 20 miles from here to pick up a friend, and then through a near blizzard, then stand still traffic that slowed us way down we stopped in Indy to pick up one more. Now there are 7 as we are heading down to meet up with 5 others. that makes an even dozen in our group. 9 from MI one from IN, and two from GA. Did I mention about 150 others from all over! 18 1/2 hours later we arrived.
The next day found us on the beach at St. Simmons Island in GA bright an early to do some diggin! We found mostly clad and some other doo-dads, as well as many jelly fish.
This is the first time I have seen these all over the beach. This one was about the size of a football.

And here is one happy camper (ME) finally being able to dig and get away from the frozen tundra!

After that we hit an 1800's park in Savannah GA. It was beautiful with the moss hanging from the trees, and the green grass!

We did well there for the little time we were there. I know John got a silver ring, Bruce got a silver cross, some wheat's were found, Dave got his first ever Indian and barber dime. I got a silver ring on my 2nd target. (First one in 2009) a few targets later I got a nice Good for 5 cents token, and a neat green polished stone that was just sticking out of the dirt. More of this story and pics to come!
