I was just happy to be feeling healthy-2 weeks fighting a chest cold.
In between showers there were sunny skies so the doggie & I headed out to a local high school that has been very good to me.

It was generous today also!

I was hitting a new to me area & saw another detectorist. I had taken a break from detecting so started in again at the entrance to the field where it is very trashy. He called it a day for that area & we spoke as he passed. Nice guy & using a high end ID machine.

Long story short-I went back to that front area & started digging tabs & whatever rang solid. I could pick out the "good-uns" from the trash going real slow with the 10X12. It was seriously deep & loud today. I've worked wet soil before. But today was something special-good harmonics between the storms?. But man the thing was nailing even tiny targets loud. And it pays to dig all that trash out of the ground.

Its small but thick-And its 14K!!!

Feels good to be back-Yipee!

congratulations on the ring

I usually disc just above iron, and dig lots of trash. It's like one fellow detectorist said "he is paying the dues" by digging the trash to get some gold. Congrats on the gold! Theres nothing like pulling a few hundred dollar ring out of a hole. I always say - "it's amazing what people lose"!
