dabigdetector

New member
Hello All,
I am planning a camping trip this weekend as of now we a planning it around detecting, I live Indiana and would like to know of any info on southern Indiana or Kentucky. I have a US treasure atlas, however it was published in 1985. Any websites available for some better research

Thanks
Dan

Be careful in ky.The city ordinance states that it is a class d felony! It also says to be able to detect you will have to get permission from the university of kentucky and then under that it actually says good luck with that.I hate it here.I would love to hook up and go detecting with you guys some time.I live in northern ky my name is charlie.Good luck

what city are you talking about. i live in owensboro and hunt several counties around here. i don't know any cities with such a law. the state parks and daviess county parks are off limits.

i just googled metal detecting ordinances kentucky and that is what is stated check it out.I was in grant county this passed weekend but not much luck. How is it in owensboro?

haven't done very good lately. i'm trying to learn the xs but the ground is very dry. i'll check out google.

did the google search and couldn't find exactly what you're refering to. if you mean the article about louisville then it may or may not be illegal there but i know of nowhere else that it is not allowed except for the daviess co. parks and we're getting rid of the present county judge executive so that may change too.

I hope thats not true about KY. I know of an amazing place in Fulton County from when I was a kid that I would bet is still intact and have been waiting years to get back to.
