Two hunts, two coin spills

Posted a message last week on small town parks and finding a 2 penny, one noickel old coin spill. Did that one better today on my very next hunt. Went to a park no more than 1/2 mile from my house. This large park has been hunted frequently but I went to an outer edge. Had a 36-40 deep signal on my 305 and got the following:
1944 Wheat
1939 Wheat
(2) 1941 Wheats
1935 Buffalo
1943 Merc
1945 Merc
All within an inch of each other seven inches down. Never give up on places you think have been hunted a lot.

Coin spills are exciting to find. I have found two. One was in a stone driveway 56 pennies and one a pile of saw dust 78 pennies. The second spill I used my pinpointer to find most of them.

Great post Bob. I have been hunting an old park and found tons of clad, over 30 wheaties, 3 Barber, 2 Merc and 5 Rosie silvers and was getting the feeling lately that it was "hunted out". Tomorrow, I'm going back and hunt the outer perimeter just as you suggested. I will let you know how successful I am.
