Thanks again for another great video. It appears it could help in some of my old civil war sites. Im trying to convince myself that I don't need a target ID !
 
The id numbers in iron most likely be off in a heavy mail site. With Vista's if it beeps good tone dig it! I use the Vista Smart Plus it works for me.

When I hunt my Civil War sites I dig every single target that gives a conductive signal anyway so not having a TID doesn't make much difference to me. I just want something that goes deep and is the best in working through the iron.
 
Some of the people I know who own the high dollar, bells and whistles TID detectors rely primarily on tone, and use the TID as a secondary tool.

Yep, I would definitely be in that camp. BTW, I am a Greg who lives in E. Tennessee too. I'm in Cosby, where are you located? Be sure and let us know your experiences and finds with your new VGG. I am planning on getting one soon as well.
