The Warrior is a sturdy built machine with quality parts. The headphone and coil fittings now have rubber plugs that are attached behind the nut on either connect. Also the coil has the same cap that is attached to cover the plug when not in use.
The coil on the detector is the new 11" DD and it worked perfectly, no falsing or noises when bumped against the ground. Ground balancing is very easy to do and maintain. The 3 way switch in the center controls the hunting mode : up is disc. in silent search, middle position is AM, and bottom is 2 tone ID with the low tone following the increase in disc.
I tried the Warrior on a copper penny at 6" and had no problems, good smooth audio both ways, gain was 12'oclock as was the sens.
On an 8" penny, I had to move the sens. to the 3 o'clock position and the signal was good.
On a 10" penny, I had to move the sens. to preset at 4 o'clock position and also the gain at 4 too.
On an 11" penny, with the gain and sens maxed-out, it hit okay but was lacking in clarity as the previous coins had. There seemed to be a "sweet spot" in the coil if I moved around some, the audio response was cleaner and sounded better.
(These coins have been buried almost a year)
I suspect on a 12" penny that AM would easily "see" it but the discrimination circuit would probably hit low on it calling it iron...(Normal response of most detectors) Depending on your soil conditions, you may do more or less.
I went hunting with a friend who used a V3i and we had no interactions between the detectors unless I was checking a target for him and when he moved his detector to the back of him, the interference disappeared.
No EMI noticed at all with the power lines at 60-70 feet away.
I didn't find anything significant but a piece of camp lead, 2 small brass pieces, 22s, and a couple of lead nail caps mixed in with a lot of iron. Separation was excellent and very easy to know when you were on an iron target.
I did try a copper penny under the edge of the small iron buckle, perfect high tone. With the coin in the center of the buckle, it was still high tone but the clarity wasn't there. I switch to 2 tone, and you hear the high pitch and the low tone.
Overall, seems like it is going to be a great machine.. Richard

Richard, I was curious if the pitch of the non-ferrous targets on the Warrior was higher than on the Smart, but lower than the Gold. Thanks, Mark

if you can get a good sound on the 8" penny thats doing good , I bet that gain helps thanks for the report

Here is what I used to do the test with... Good clean signal on the almost covered penny. A high tone on the one with the penny in the center but it lacked the crispness of the other response. In 2 tone, I could hear both high and low audio.. Richard
