I am working on getting a friend to become a member of our great hobby.

So I set him up with my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV, I grabbed my Legacy 3500 and we started looking for a lost family ring in his back yard. Thus far, no ring.....but my friend has earned a new nickname.

I'm going to call him "TwoGuns" for obvious reasons......his first significant find was these two miniature cap pistols!

I came home minus a Tracker IV metal detector....... :cheers:

Here's to you "TwoGuns!"

The guns are really a nice find, your friend is hooked for sure. I say he finds the ring too.
 
These are Roy Rogers Miniature Single Shot Cap Pistols....but I have not determined their era....guessing late 50's early 60's based on my age and memories.

In mint condition they sell for between $29 and $35 each. I'm not sure of their value because they are in rough condition.

As a way of comparing them in size, they are about as long as my index finger.

Yep, I think "TwoGuns" is hooked. :rofl:

Those are cool finds! I dig quite a few parts, but can't seem to find a complete gun. Now, he'll be a relic hunter! :detecting:

Thanks everyone. I have not been in touch with him since the day he found them. Not sure what he's been up to.....but I bet he's been swinging the Tracker IV!! :detecting:
 
I see that you still have a Tracker IV listed in your sig, may have to update that :clapping:
 
I may have to change my signature to "Tracker IV on loan".... :rofl:
 
Ah Man! All the cap guns I dig are in pieces.

Talked to TwoGuns today. Nothing special found in his yard since the guns.
He's been working a lot of overtime so the unit's been sitting there waiting to beep.
But he still has it.....so it's still officially "on loan" for now.........I guess!
You know the old saying, "possesion is 9/10 the law!" Lol

Yep! I'd say he's hooked!!
