U.S. Army button.

Goldstrike

Well-known member
While not rare or worth much, it's always fun to detect items like this U.S. Army button 3 inches down in a local park!

yep, it's all about just getting out and enjoying the hunt. HH

Thats a really cool find there Goldie! Well found! :clapping:

A guy could make something out of that, pin it on a hat or coat or something...maybe pour it full of epoxy and have a sweet key ring or something?

Thanks for your comments! Yes, it's all about getting out and enjoying the hunt. I get a great amount of enjoyment almost everytime I go out and even when I find a button like I did yesterday, it also makes me wonder who the owner was and their sacrifices for us somewhere in maybe a far off land. It would make a cool fob for a key ring or something Mud! I have a bag of all kinds of finds which I let my grandkids play with when they come over to my house. My granddaughter especially likes to play with the rings and jewellery!

Good job goldstrike! I think your "button" is a emblem off the side of a bridle bit. There were two, one on each shank at the ends of the mouth piece. Unfortunately there are many new reproductions on the market, so may not be real old, sorry!
