Found this today using my Nokta Relic. About 5-6 inches down. This farm has C.W. history. Not a battle, but a staging and camp area after crossing the river. So I am hoping..... But it is NOT magnetic, measures exactly 1 inch across, very light weight (can't find my scale), no markings/hallmark. The only cleaning I did before the pic was with a tooth brush
 
That appears to be a US Calvary Bridal Rosette. There would have been one each side of the horses bridal above the horses eye.

Nice find. I found one on a parcel of land that at one time was part of an old southern plantation.

Found two around here. Yes, appears to be a WW1 collar disc.
