Spent the day with Gary and Tim Gary got his first pre 1900 coin a really nice Indian, Tim found a 1913 Barber half, and I never thought I would say this but I found my first Large cent! I couldn't believe it I never thought I would find one out here but I did and she is beautiful. also found a 1910s penny and a 1918d merc. What a great day for all.

Holy Cow! Way to go, didn't think that deer lodge was that much older than Bozeman. Maybe someday, thanks for sharing!

Deer Lodge is the oldest city in Montana and dates back to 1864 this is the second oldest coin i found the first being the 1852 bank token. This coin was probably dropped in the late 1800's or early 1900's because it was holed. whoever wore it new that it was rare.

my first last year. As a matter of fact...it's still my first and only...and it's nasty looking...but it's all mine.

Yours is very nice and you will treasure it I'm sure.. Again congrats on a find you'll never forget:thumbup:

Nice dig, and in pretty good condition too. The ground out there is kind to Copper, as the few I have found have been pretty rough. That is the last year the Large Cent was made.

Congrats Montana!!
You never know what you are going to find!!! Good looking coin as well!!!
Keep it up!

Thought I would put a pic of our coins from Sunday and a pic of me and Gary. Im the one with the hat on.
