 V-Man, you were asking about shovels? Here's my 2 cents...

Get a narrow bladed trenching spade, wood or fiberglass, with a D handle. Wal Mart sells Ames for about $20 bucks. Blades usually come to long to stand on to dig (Bubba got a nose bleed standing on his 18" shovel before he cut it down). Cut blade to about 13" or 14". Sharpen a bit, you're ready to rumble. The Lesche shovels are well made but the handles are to short on most model's, meaning you have to bend over to dig! ..NOT HELPING YOUR BACK. The longer handled Lesche are great but heavy. Then there's the price difference... I have had a wooden handled narrow bladed trenching spade I cut off 6 years ago. Never had a problem, It's light weight and has a D handle. Price; $21.00. Strong?... are you kidding me; After receiving a signal I dug down about 5 foot and hit a big chrome thing. Not being able to budge it, I laid the shovel shaft on the edge of the hole and jumped on It. You ain't gonna believe this but up out of the ground popped a whole 1957 Buick Road Master... now that's strong.

about the ground shark is the nice core it appears to be able to cut out when hunting yards or parks... So as not to freak out the locals and draw unwanted attention... Thanks, V-man
